The Gilmour Academy’s Tuesdays at Tudor will initiate a new concert series sponsored by the Cleveland International Piano Competition, Steinway Piano Gallery Cleveland, and ArtsConnect this summer.
Upon receiving three new Steinway pianos last December, the Gilmour Academy began the process of becoming a Steinway Select K-12 School. The Academy is the first private school in the Midwest to earn this distinction. “Tuesdays at Tudor will be a wonderful introduction to what capabilities exist on their campus,” said Catherine Brulport of the Steinway Piano Gallery Cleveland.
Held the third Tuesday of each month, every concert in the series will be played on the school’s newest Steinway. “We will be providing monthly performances from renowned musicians for our entire Gilmour Family and the overall Cleveland community,” the school said in a press release. The monthly one-hour performances will be preceded by light refreshments in the Tudor Gardens at 5:30 pm, with music starting at 6:00 pm.
The next concert — “Duos and Trios” — will be held on July 18 and feature violinist Solomon Liang, cellist Chauncy Aceret, and pianist Amy Tan. Tickets are free, but reservations are required. Click here to reserve a seat.
