On Monday, November 3 beginning at 4:00 pm, musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra will perform some of the composer’s greatest masterworks in a 3-part Bach-a-thon.

At 5:00 pm the second concert will feature young artist Nathaniel Hill (Cleveland Institute of Music) and Noémie Chemali (Stony Brook University). Hill will perform the Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro in E-flat arranged for solo guitar, and Chemali will play the “Prelude” from Suite No. 5, in an arrangement for solo viola. To round out the program, Jason Yu will be featured in Bach’s E-major Violin Concerto accompanied by Mari Sato and Isabel Trautwein (violins) Noémie Chemali (viola), and Tanya Ell-Woolfrey (cello).
On the third concerto at 6:00 pm, the Blossom Quartet — Stephen Tavani and Yun-Tin Lee (violins) William Bender (viola), and Dane Johansen (cello) — will play Bach’s final work, The Art of Fugue, with spoken commentary.
You can purchase tickets to one, two, or all three of the 45-minute concerts here.
