The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra announces auditions for its 2018-19 season. Highlights of the upcoming 33rd season include three performances at Severance Hall, as well as concerts in the greater Cleveland community under the direction of Music Director Vinay Parameswaran. Musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra will coach COYO members in weekly sectionals.
Auditions will be held at Severance Hall during the month of May. Middle and high school students with prior musical study are invited to apply. Openings are available for violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, flute, piccolo, oboe, English horn, clarinet, bassoon, contrabassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, percussion, and keyboard.
