Welcome to ClevelandClassical.com’s Blog! We’re pleased to announce that we will report daily from the 2009 Cleveland International Piano Competition (CIPC).
ClevelandClassical.com editor and publisher Daniel Hathaway will file the bulk of the CIPC reports on this blog, with additional help from CC contributors, including Mike Telin and others. CIPC coverage begins on Monday, July 20. Daily blogging will commence on Sunday, July 26. Our twice daily reports from CIPC, beginning with the opening rounds on July 28, will provide a snapshot of the competition: interviews, observations, perhaps some color commentary.
How will this blog differ from classical music coverage on our web site, ClevelandClassical.com? As we envision it, this blog will allow for informal observations and, of course, enhanced interaction with our readers. The concert previews and reports you have come to expect from ClevelandClassical.com will still be posted there, as well as our comprehensive event listings.
