Cimafunk’s performance for the series will take place on Wednesday, August 10th around 7:30 pm at Transformer Station — located at the corner of Church Avenue (1460 W. 29th St. Cleveland, OH 44113). Seating will be limited, so bringing your own might not be the worst idea. The event is free and open to the public.

Mikey Silas, of Apostle Jones fame, is proud of what he and his band have been able to accomplish in such a short period of time. Formed in late 2018, Apostle Jones has been on an impressive run in the Cleveland music scene like no other. Over the last four years, they have managed to release a studio EP as well as four live performance compilations.
If their first tale of July 2022 was any indication, ENCORE Chamber Music Institute’s “Storytelling” Music & Ideas Festival is true to its name. On July 1, ENCORE premiered and livestreamed “Tales of Wünderkinds: The Hunt & Chase” — a formidable continuation of this year’s primarily narrative-driven Music & Ideas Festival. Interestingly, Jorg Widmann’s Hunt would be the only piece from the evening’s program to share a word with this title. I watched the livestream.
Amber Rogers is no stranger to overcoming logistical hurdles. As Executive Director of the Cleveland Federation of Musicians’ Local 4 Music Fund, she is in her second year of coordinating She Scores — a concert series solely dedicated to living female composers. Rogers is grateful that her series has been renewed and revitalized in a big way.
