VIDEO OF THE DAY:
Composer Margaret Brouwer has sent a message around to her followers, hoping that everyone is safely quarantining and staying healthy. While she laments the cancellations of many forthcoming concerts of her music, she writes, “During these long days full of worry, isolated at home, I am trying to find the beauty in a slower paced life and gratitude for the time to devote to unfinished projects.” She attaches a gift. “Do you need a laugh? Enjoy this satirical musical monologue in which the performer portrays a person making a telephone call and also an answering electronic voice. Performed by violinist Mari Sato, video by Erica Brenner, audio by Michael Bishop.”
